MOBILIZATION CHECKLIST
When we begin a new project, we have a checklist of tasks we run through to ensure everything is in order before we arrive onsite. Recently we added automated emails to this checklist to increase its efficiency.
- We start with rigorous review of the project drawings, specifically structural and architectural. Execution of a successful project depends on a strong understanding of these drawings. We identify any discrepancies between architectural and structural, as well as conflicts between elevations / details / plan view. Depending on what we find, this may result in RFI’s (Request For Information) sent to the GC (General Contractor), or at least a conversation with the site supervisor.
- Once we have an understanding of the parkade structure, we create a “cheat sheet” – a list of pour heights and footing excavation depths. This is crucial for our crew onsite to build accurately.
-
A step we added recently is an automated safety email to the GC which submits our OH&S (Operating Health & Safety) documentation for their records. We pair this with other site specific documents.
- Another automated email is sent to our GC requesting survey points. We will input these into our Total Station for the structure layout.
- We meet with the site supervisor to discuss the schedule and sequencing of the project. This may consist of multiple meetings, and isn’t necessarily the last thing we do before we step onsite, but it is a crucial step in our process.

Nav Gill – Triumph Properties – Construction Manager
Triumph had the opportunity to work with Enfield at our parkade in Abbotsford. I enjoyed working with their team from start to finish, and would recommend that everyone consider Enfield for their multi-family concrete scope.
