INNOVATIVE EQUIPMENT: ENFIELD’S FORMWORK SYSTEM
One of Enfield’s first investments was into our modular formwork system manufactured by FARESIN FORMWORK. FARESIN operates out of Breganze, Italy. They are a highly innovative company, creating prefab formwork systems for a variety of construction challenges, including circular tanks, complicated shoring, and one-sided walls. We use them for the vertical wall sections in our residential parkades. We love working with these panels for many reasons, a few of which we’ve included below.
- LIGHTWEIGHT: The system is made of steel and designed to be light and maneuverable for its size. This attribute allows us to move panels around the site quickly and aids in fast assembly and disassembly. They are suitable for sites which may have limited hoisting access, specifically residential.
- EASE OF USE: The clamps and other accessories available for purchase with the system are simple to add and remove. The ease of use also contributes to their efficiency in assembly or stripping.
- LIMITED WASTE: The modular formwork system eliminates the waste of construction products that may not be reused due to their poor durability after a concrete pour. The FARESIN system (made out of steel) is exceptionally durable.
- VERSATILITY: The modularity also allows us to use fewer panels for a wider variety of different applications. The panels can be used in any application found in residential parkade construction, including stairs, walls, columns, shafts, and curbs.
This formwork system showcases another way Enfield pushes construction innovation forward to deliver additional value to our customers through efficiency, cost, and speed.
