ICON APARTMENTS: ENFIELD’S NEXT BIG LANGLEY PROJECT
We are excited to start another parkade with one of our favourite builders, Whitetail Homes Group. This project is a 98-unit apartment building with two commercial units on the main level. Enfield is constructing the two-level concrete parkade, one level below grade and the other above. We always appreciate repeat business from our developers.
We will use our telehandler in conjunction with a tower crane on this project. This approach made the most sense, given the parkade’s size, spatial constraints, and proximity to the property line. Using the two together will lead to a speedy completion.
The project has started excavation, and we hope to begin our scope in early January 2023, jumping into the New Year with a bang. We are excited to see another Whitetail project to completion.
We anticipated ICON to start sooner, but the permitting process took longer than expected. However, waiting for Building Permits tends to be the name of the game in the formwork industry, so we’re always ready to be flexible with our client’s needs and jump when they need us. We keep in close communication with our developers as things begin to push out further than expected, and as long as both parties are communicating, we can work around these delays. The key is communication!
